Description
TheZebra Moray Eel(Gymnomuraena Zebra) is a species of marine fish widespread throughout the Indo-Pacific area from eastern coast of Africa until the western coast of the Americas, including the Red Sea, Hawaii and Galapagos.
TheZebra Moray Eels favorite habitat corresponds to the rocky or coral reef on coastal shallow waters in depths up to 39 meters. It can reach a maximum length of 59 inches, however, the average size is commonly 19.68 inches. TheZebra Moray Eelis dark banded over white, with a round and short snout. It is nocturnal and actively hunts its prey at night. Unlike most other Moray Eels, it feeds almost exclusively on crustaceans, sea urchins and mollusks.
