Description
The Shubunkin goldfish were first developed in the early 1900s from strains of telescope goldfish in Japan and were created by Yoshigoro Akiyama. They were first bred in Japan, The shubunkins tail, or caudal fin, should be long, flowing and deeply forked. A shubunkin isnt considered a shubunkin unless it has a calicocoloration. The principal background color should be blue, covering at least a quarter of the fishs body area. There are three varieties of shubunkins; American, London and Bristol.
