Real Reef is made from 100% natural marine friendly ingredients. Its base components are the same Calcium building blocks which wild coral and living reef rock are composed of. The ingredientsare sourced from ancient terrestrial coral reefs with zero environmental impact to the worlds oceanreefs or marine habitat.
It all starts with a grain of sand! Rather than just taking quarried boulders and pressure washing them, every piece is formed using a selection of high grade calcium materials. Calcite Rock, Calcite Sand, Oolitic Sand, Coquina Shell and a Calcium based binder (similar to limestone) all formed by hand using our proprietary process. The addition of water based organic pigments that penetrate into the rock provides the beautiful purple coloration without blocking the surface porosity. No Epoxy, No Paint, No Chemicals.
