The Humu Picasso Triggerfish, scientifically known as Rhinecanthus aculeatus, showcases a unique and vivid appearance. From its tan body with gradient dark bands, to the vibrant blue and black stripes on its head, and a yellow stripe that spans its cheeks, this species is truly distinctive. Its deeply set-back eyes add to its intriguing features.

The recommended habitat for the Humu Humu Trigger (Rhinecanthus aculeatus) is a 180 gallon or larger aquarium with rocks and caves, as it will rearrange the landscape and rocks while exploring. This species vocalizes with a “grunting” sound and is known as a conversation piece. To maintain their ever-growing teeth, a diverse diet of squid, krill, clams, small fish, and hard-shelled shrimp is necessary.
