Description

This distinctive-looking Hawkfish dazzles with diagonal white-and-red-brown spots and small, brilliant yellow cirri on their dorsal fins. Don’t confuse it for Cirrhitichthys aprinus! Though aggressive, it can thrive and adds brilliant color to a 30-gallon or larger tank with enough hiding places. Keep away from larger hawkfish, but with some caution, it can even make a great reef dweller. Feed with a variety of marine meats, frozen foods, and live feeder shrimp for a balanced diet.
