The filter has a nozzle tube with an integrated cleaning slide and a mini-brush that makes cleaning the nozzle openings easy. The Nano Corner Filter is also safe for young shrimp since it has narrow intake openings and a very fine-pored pre-filter sponge. Cleaning the filter element is easy; grasp the filter at the outflow tube, pull it off to the front, and remove the filter element. It is best to wash out the filter element in a clean aquarium water bucket to avoid damaging the important filter bacteria.
