Betta patoti (Pair)

Description

Betta patoti, also known as the Tiger Betta, is a larger species of betta from the unimaculata species complex. Reaching around 4″ long and with large mouths, these are quite the departure from domestic bettas! This is a mouthbrooding species, where the male rears the eggs in his mouth; no bubblenest is built. They are semi-aggressive, and may be best kept on their own, but fast moving rasboras or tetras that are too large to be eaten may make good tankmates. Males have lovely green cheeks and barring along the flank.
