Best kept alone, these frilly faces will appreciate at least 20 gallon tanks with lots of hiding places and water in the 60s or low 70s! Eating a meaty diet, these amphibians will need frozen or fresh worms and other invertebrates such as insects or shrimp, even small fish! While cute, its best not to regularly handle your axolotl as they are not fond of it to begin with and their skin is very delicate and permeable.
