Asian Stone Dwarf Anchor Catfish (Hara Jerdoni)

Description

Anchor catfish, asian stone mini catfish, dwarf moth catfish; these fish have more common names than most, but Hera Jerdoni is a great addition to most nano aquariums! They like to stay in groups (3+) but do wonderfully in small aquariums, as they grow to just over 1″ long. They prefer cooler temperatures (65-75) so might have a bit of trouble paired with a betta, but they’d do very well with a school of rasbora or other small fish in your nano tank.

They do tend to get stuck fairly easily, so avoid having too much hardscape in their aquariums; stick with plants and open space as much as you can. If you do have lots of hardscape or hard ornaments, just be sure to check on them very regularly.
