Description
Apistogramma trifasciata, sometimes known as the Three-Stripe Apisto, is one of the showiest species ofApistogramma. Malesdevelop a huge, mohawk like dorsal fin, and are primarily silver and metallic blue. Females, in the typicalApistogrammafashion, are mostly black and yellow. These dwarf cichlids pair well with small tetras, pencilfish, and rasboras in laid back community aquaria.
