Checkerboard Wrasse “Halichoeres hortulanus”

Description

The Checkerboard Wrasse,Halichoeres hortulanus, also known as the Marble/Hortulanus Wrasse, as it matures becomes silver and has a distinct and unique black and white checkerboard pattern, right-fully earning its name. Quite often the Checkerboard Wrasse will have vibrant yellow finnage and a blue/red/yellow splotchy face .
