PARwise Pro is a groundbreaking new product which incorporates the latest innovation cPUR an all new lighting measurement created for aquarists to simplify light measurements in a way that makes setting up lights and getting coral placement perfect, the first time, every time.

cPUR ( Coral Photosynthetically Usable Radiation ) is the measurementthat replaces the outdated PAR measurement and compares it againstthe actual absorbance curve of corals zooxanthellae and pigments reducing the need to cross reference data.
PARwise Pro also includes a much widened spectral range of 350nm to1100nm and calibrations for use in Air, Freshwater and Saltwater + 7 otherfeatures!

Perfect growth rates need three things: The correct wavelengths, thecorrect intensity of light and for the correct amount of time.Light changes with depth and clarity so too does the requirements ofplants and animals. PARwise Pro takes PAR and Spectrum together togive you cPUR an accurate comparative measurement of what coralsactually need make measuring light even easier.PARwise Pro, just like PARwise, measures PAR, Spectrum, DLI, Kelvin & Luxbut now comes with a further 8 light measurement features.

cPUR Coral Photosynthetically Usable Radiation is a light measurement specifically
designed for corals.PAR does not tell us whether the light were measuring is any good for coral growth.You can have a high PAR level but it be all in the wrong part of the spectrum. As ameasurement it is very outdated!

PARwise helped to alleviate that issue by allowing users to measure the spectrum
but it didnt go as far as telling the user what they needed to do. PARwise PRO and cPUR takes this to the next level and removes this extra step in one measurement as well as providing a much greater spectral measurement range and additional features.

The cPUR measurement only includes the light wavelengths and intensity of light that
corals can use. It excludes the wavelengths that corals do not efficiently use for
photosynthetic processes or fluorescent protein production. For the user, its like
having a PAR value that actually is relevant! This is THE new gold standard
measurement for coral reef lighting.

Daily Light Integral (DLI) is based on the PAR spectrum in order to replace this outdated measurement, ParWise Pro has cPUR Light Integral to use. This gives us the ability to measure the suitable coral light levels over time, using
the cPUR weighted result.

NEW Correction Factors for Air, Freshwater and Saltwater

Now when you select the sensor icon, you get the option to choose whether youre measuring in air, freshwater and saltwater there are very slight refraction differences for saltwater vs freshwater in science so this is now included for added perfection. Its now easier to tell which mode youre in as well with new icons and dashboard graphics.

What makes PARwise Pro different to other standard PAR meters?

cPUR ability! vs PAR value PAR as a measurement cannot define whether the coral can use it or not. cPUR is only coral usable light!

PARwise PRO is calibrated across the spectrum regular light meters are calibrated with one spectrum only (white light), introducing errors when you move away from white.

PARwise PRO, as well as detecting light can see IR meaning youcan detect wasted energy as heat e.g Metal Halide / T5

The main difference between “PARwise” and “PARwise Pro” is that the “Pro” version offers significantly more advanced features, including the ability to measure a wider spectrum of light, calculate “cPUR” (Coral-usable Photon Units) which is specifically designed for coral health, and provides a more comprehensive analysis of your aquarium lighting beyond just PAR values; while the standard PARwise primarily measures PAR and basic spectrum data.
