Perugia’s limia(Limia perugiae) is apoeciliidfishendemicto theCaribbeanisland ofHispaniola. It is one of the most widespread species in theLimiagenus, inhabiting waters ranging from fresh tohypersaline. Unlike mostLimiaspecies,L. perugiaeisomnivorous. Dominant males are especially colorful. Femalesgive birthto live young.
