Description
Yellow Jackets have a confusing history with regard to their identity. They were known asParachromis loiselleiuntil 2018, when Rico Morgenstern concluded that the fish known asP. loiselleiwas in factP. friedrichsthalii. (The fish many had been callingP. friedrichsthaliiin the aquarium trade was classified asP. multifasciatus.) This species gets very large when mature and should not be housed in a tank smaller than 100 gallons. These fish typically act very aggressively towards tank mates, especially when breeding.
