Description
The Panther Grouper (Cromileptes altivelis) is a large marine fish with a distinctive look – a thin vertical profile, substantial height, small head, and elongated snout. Its body and fins are cream with black spots. It needs a large aquarium with a lid and sandy substrate topped with pebbles and live rocks for hiding. This shy carnivore eats krill, shrimp, small fish, and invertebrates and can be aggressive. It requires an efficient filtration system and water flow. Breeding in captivity can be challenging.
